Brian Raymond, MPH

Senior Policy Consultant

In his capacity as Senior Policy Consultant at the Institute, Brian analyzes emerging policy issues and supports the health policy decision making process within Kaiser Permanente. His current areas of concentration include health information technology and obesity prevention. Other projects examine medical error reporting to improve patient safety and medical liability reform. In addition to policy analysis, Brian also manages projects and roundtable discussions to produce suggestions for health policy improvement.

Brian began his career with Kaiser Permanente in 1983. Prior to joining the Institute for Health Policy, he provided analytic and project management support to Kaiser Permanente senior executives. He has conducted market research, membership forecasts, and competition analysis, and has also served in Kaiser Permanente's account services.

Brian received a bachelor's degree in community health administration from the University of California, Davis and a master's degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley.
