Healthy Eating & Active Living

Two out of three Americans are overweight or obese, a statistic that has ominous health, economic, and societal implications. The multi-faceted causes of the overweight and obesity epidemic mean that a broad-based public health approach will be necessary to address it. To be successful, such an approach must address the concerns and needs of a wide range of stakeholders, including consumers, health plans and providers, employers, governments, community-based organizations, schools, and the food industry.
