We’re facing a mental health crisis in the United States. Historically, our nation’s mental health needs have not been addressed with the same urgency as physical health needs.

As demand for mental health services grows, the U.S. health care system faces a mental health workforce shortage that impacts patients’ ability to receive the care they need. At Kaiser Permanente, we are working to continuously improve the quality of and access to mental health services and promote the integration of mental health with medical and social services.
