Elizabeth Heinonen is a strategic and innovative human resource executive with 20 years of progressive experience with both hourly and salary unionized and nonunionized workforces.
She joined Kaiser Permanente in 2018 and is currently the senior vice president of HR Talent Strategy, Acquisition & Analytics. In this role, she helps fill 60,000+ positions a year. She is accountable for the strategies, methods, and tools used to ensure Kaiser Permanente can attract and retain the workforce needed today and in the future. That means leading fast-paced recruitment and retention efforts by offering talented professionals access to skill-building, lasting relationships, and meaningful projects — all while contributing to Kaiser Permanente’s mission to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.
Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Indiana State University and an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management from The University of Toledo. She currently represents Kaiser Permanente on the Gartner Talent Acquisition Leader Advisory Board, Rework America, and Project Alliance. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Elizabeth was the head of Salaried Talent Acquisition for Fiat Chrysler Automotive and held the roles of Global Senior HR Business Partner and Talent Management and Talent Acquisition Leader at Ford Motor Company.
