Conor Sheehey is a director at Leavitt Partners, a bipartisan multi-client firm, where he assists stakeholders across the health care sector with navigating the federal health care policy landscape. Prior to entering the private sector, Conor spent eight years on Capitol Hill, most recently serving for four years as a senior staff member on the Republican staff of the Senate Finance Committee.
During his tenure at the Finance Committee, Conor led the Senate GOP on prescription drug policy, including during the chamber’s consideration of the Inflation Reduction Act. Conor later co-authored the committee’s bipartisan pharmacy benefit manager reform legislation, as well as proposals related to medication shortage mitigation, along with clinician payment improvements under Medicare. By the end of Conor’s time on the Hill, the Finance Committee’s core PBM reforms had advanced through at least three different congressional committees across both chambers. Before joining the Senate Finance Committee, Conor spent four years in the Office of Senator Tim Scott, ultimately serving as Deputy Legislative Director. Prior to arriving in D.C., Conor taught for three years in the Bronx, NY as a Teach For America corps member while earning his Master’s degree. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia, which he attended as a Jefferson Scholar.
