Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provide critical supports

Medicaid

Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provide critical supports for children, pregnant women, parents, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

Kaiser Permanente’s participation in Medicaid is core to our mission to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.

We care for 1.5 million people who are insured through Medicaid, taking a population health approach to managing the care of our Medicaid members, proactively identifying their needs and risks to provide early and ongoing intervention. We help members with a whole-person care approach — addressing their physical, mental, and social health needs.
